The father's surname is underlined and reads Bauer; the trade word after "Bürger" is not read.

Born and baptized 17 March [1780]: no. 12, Michael. Parents: Johann Michael Bauer, citizen [and …], and his wife Margaretha née Scheible ("Scheiblin," the feminine form). Sponsors: Johannes [Fischer?], single, of this place; [Philipp] Heinrich [Vollmer], single, of this place; Maria, wife of Georg Friedrich Engelhart, citizen of this place.
Notes
It agrees with the 1811 Möglingen marriage and with the age at death of 1 October 1825 (45 years 6 months 14 days): the same day by two independent records. The trade (vine-grower) stays from the Möglingen record. Grade: STATED for the entry;
