Transcription
"27 [Nov 1849] Mich.l, J.n Curtin, Mary Hanlon, sponsors Jer.h Keeffe, Joh.a Curtin".
"20 [Jan 1850] John, Bat. Hanlon, Ellen Sullivan, sponsors J. Hanlon, Cath. Coakley". The father's forename is abbreviated "Bat" (Patrick or Bartholomew; I read it as Bat, as in "Batt").
Other entries on the page name no Hanlon; the right page (9 Apr to 19 May 1850) lists Keeffe, Murphy, Barry, Waters and Duggan families.
Translation
Michael, son of John Curtin and Mary Hanlon, baptized 27 November 1849. John, son of Bat. Hanlon and Ellen Sullivan, baptized 20 January 1850; sponsors J. Hanlon and Catherine Coakley.
Notes
Hanlon × Ellen Sullivan) with a son born about January 1850 in Kilshannig: STATED. Whether the Denis Hanlon (born about 1851, 1901 Esk North household) is their son: POSSIBLE (right surname, right parish area, birth year one year after; the register stops at June 1850, so the 1851 baptism cannot be checked here; no document ties Denis to this couple). Mary Hanlon (Curtin) and Honora Hanlon (Sheehan, p. 30) as sisters of one Hanlon family: THEORY.
Conflicts noted: None with earlier files. Spelling "Hanlon" in this register matches the target surname in the Next-Steps.
