Notes

Not PROBABLE as Mary Ann Hanlon's brother: see Conflicts.

This declaration gives 11 July 1873 at Canice. The two dates differ by two years; either a different Patrick, a misstatement or a later-reported age. (2) The Ancestry 1921 death candidate is "abt 1845" (age about 76), which does not fit a man born 1871 or 1873; it is a different Patrick McCann or an error in the age. (3) The 1900 census row seen in the search for "Patrick McCann, born August 1871, New York" (ark 1:1:M37F-TD5) is a different man (born New York). Nothing here names Patrick's wife or any child, so the 1911 Caneese boy Patrick (10) cannot be tied to him.
